The innovative Diamond Chair, designed by Harry Bertoia in 1952, is a testament to the designer’s unique design vision and talent. The impressive diamond-shaped frame, formed of welded steel rods is the result of Bertoia extensive experimental work with bents rods. In his own words “If you look at these chairs, they are mainly made of air, like sculpture. Space passes right through them.” The Italian designer is an icon of modern furniture design and his creative pieces have established an acclaimed role in 20th century design history.
Poly & Bark produces the Diamond Chair with a highly-polished stainless steel frame. It is of excellent quality and built for a lifetime of use. It is upholstered with a quality Leatherette Seat Pad.

Have been dreaming of acquiring this chair since I first heard Steve Roden release an EP of recordings sourced from this beautiful landmark. SO stoked I could finally find it for an affordable $.
Great quality for a great price
Love my set of Bertoia chairs! They are chic and classic and a great transitional piece if you decorate a lot. The price can not be beat, and shipping is fast and free! The velcro on bottom of seat can be a little off, but other than that, love!
Chair is nice quality and price is great.
Mine came with 2 screws that seemed to be to incorrect. I got a response back after emailing customer service right away and received the right screws very fast.
very pleased with this chair!
I live in NYC. I was looking for a lighter weight replacement for a reproduction barcelona chair and considered a bunch of modern chairs. I thought the diamond chair would be a good fit so I went to design within reach. They didn't have one on the floor, and suggested I go to the Knoll showroom in midtown. With the cushion, chrome finish and delivery the price came to over $1,600. When I saw this version for less than 1/10 the price, I figured it's worth a try. Chair is beautiful. Quality seems high to me. Exactly like what I would have expected from the high price version. Cushion is lower quality than the Knoll one for sure, but I can live with that and it's probably much easier to keep clean.
