Adding a splash of color this summer!
Adding a pop of color to your space can completely change the feel look and mood. When designing a room we all start with a base color pallet. Some people stop there because they are scared to over design the room, well we’re going to tell you how to take your beautiful space to the next level without going overboard! Bring in the colors!!!
To start adding a splash to your room look into adding a contrast color. This means something on the opposite side of the color wheel from your rooms base color pallet. The secret and where most people go wrong is... Stay away from too many little items with this pop of color, and try to pick larger pieces. Choosing fewer and larger pieces won't make your room overwhelming with the vibrant additions. It will make you feel more energetic and not overwhelmed. #goals
If you don't want to jump in with both feet, there is still a way to add some color to your room! If you feel your style is more muted, you can always add accent pieces that are colorful, just be sure they are in the same color family as the rest of your room. It won't seem busy and well give your room a relaxing feel.
Below are some awesome examples of splashes of color using some of our pieces at www.polyandbark.com

Pop of Color tip:
“The Rule of Three is an interior design trick-of-the-trade – place the color you have chosen as your accent color in 3 areas of the room. This gives the room a professionally decorated and cohesive look.”
Lastly just remember to have fun with it! You want your space to reflect your personal style so always be sure to incorporate that as much as possible! We hope this made it much easier to add that pop of color to your rooms. Please be sure to follow us on social media @Polyandbark!
